Gardens Birds

Well its been a wet grey day here for May Day Bank holiday. It’s a real shame as we have recently been spoilt with some truly amazing weather. I initially went with a couple of friends to Sherbourne Country Fair, but what could have been a really exciting day filled with rare breeds, arts, crafts and fab demonstrations was damped by the inclement weather, so we beat a hasty retreat home.

By the time we got back to Poole, about an hour later,  it had brightened considerably, so I was tempted out into the garden with my new macro lens. I am really impressed with the results, I had a play with it yesterday too, results to follow…. but here are todays offerings. The sparrows are super busy at the moment, already on the second hatch of the season. I love to feed them and encourage them into the garden, they eat a wide variety of things, but as a treat I buy them live mealworms. I hope you enjoy ….
