Anemone nemorosa is an early-spring flowering plant in the buttercup family Ranunculaceae, native to Europe. Common names include wood anemone, windflower, thimbleweed, and smell fox, an allusion to the musky smell of the leaves. It is a herbaceous perennial plant growing 5–15 centimetres tall.
Not a recent image, its from last year, I have been going through all the images on my hard drive, this one stood out for me because of the pretty bokeh. I remember it was a day when a friend took my to a place that had the most wonderful bluebells, the scent was incredible! While we were there it started to snow, only for a few minutes, then very quickly the sun came out and melted the snow, leaving these beautiful water droplets. I selected a wide aperture and shot this pic of a pretty Wood Anemone.
